FAQ
How will
raising funds on this site really help get the film to audiences?
A: Many films are now made outside the major studio system,
and finding their own audiences, particularly in the Documentary
genre. However, in order to create the best opportunity
for success, indie producers must (a) Raise funds independently;
(b) Have an understanding of their core audience and (c)
Know how to reach them by utilizing new technologies, led
by the internet. With total control of the project, and
this additional funding support, we will complete post-production,
develop the ideal marketing program and distribute through
a number of platforms, in an effort to reach widest audience.
The concept is directed primarily to friends, family and
golf fans to support the project, with modest expectations
for individual amounts. And we don’t expect something for
nothing. We do offer goods in exchange. With this support,
audiences will get to see the film!
Sounds
like a lot of money. How do we know this is not a scam?
Our team has over 15 years in the film business and our
credibility is supported by a number of testimonials on our
production company website. (www.rightanglestudios.com).
And we are working with Pay Pal for credit card donations,
the most popular secure transaction company. You can also
see clips on THE BACK NINE website, demonstrating footage
in the can (www.thebacknine.com)
You are
looking for $100,000. Is that enough to finish the movie
and cover distribution costs?
Yes. Many independent films are made for much less and
find an audience. But most underestimate the cost of post-production,
from sound and music to animation effects. We want high production
value relative to the cost of film. And you can never have
too much money for marketing and publicity. Studios spend
more than 30 million per movie in marketing. We plan to be
creative with our website and use direct marketing concepts
via the internet, combined with targeted traditional print
and media.
